  Did a 14 day Blowdown to Lytton. Literally my favorite place on earth :) I hope the forest glassware is still floating around

  A couple of friends and I have decided to traverse the park this past week, and from numerous online sources, we learned that it was a beautiful, well-maintained park. We have prepared for the trip amply and expected a fun trip. However, the further we travelled into the valley, the more we were proven wrong. The first 2 days of the trip was as expected: different terrains with varying elevation. Past the first cable car crossing, the trail has started to become faint and couldn't even pass as a "secondary trail". It was difficult to walk and eventually became a trail covered by body-tall prickled bushes. To make matters worst, the swamp area was not cleared (or even maintained) and the mosquitos were outrageous; neither sprays nor thick clothing would keep them away. Another pain was the trouble of finding the "markers" (means to navigate through the bushes in 'unspecified' areas, connect-the-dots style). They would be placed in the most unexpected places, and often burned or damaged. The views were simply amazing, albeit the poor maintenance of the park. Anyone that's looking to visit the park should prepare thoroughly, and scout ahead of time to make sure the rangers have done their jobs.
